"I have seen firsthand the godly manner in which the school is conducted. I have watched the teachers deal with incidents with loving compassion. I have seen and heard the coaches emphasize honor and commitment along with athletic skills. I have observed the administration personally involved in the lives of the children. I have seen the students excited about their privilege of sharing Jesus with each other at school. I have witnessed a school that sincerely seeks to partner with Christian families. I am overjoyed that two of my grandchildren are students at Trinity."

Art Class Theme:
God is the Creator of the universe; after he designed and created every part of nature around us, he designed us in his own image! Therefore, God had intended for humans to be creative beings as well. God is the supreme Artist! He has given each one of us creative and artistic talents and gifts; it is our responsibility to develop these gifts as much as possible and use them to glorify him. What I think is great about being a Christian and an artist is the fact that we know that God created the world around us. Whenever we portray the world in our artwork, we are honoring God. Art class enables us to realize and acknowledge the world around us, which God has created.
Our program is discipline-based, meaning that we focus on the four disciplines of art-- art production, art history, aesthetics, and art criticism. Students will be exploring a variety of media. They will be exploring drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture. Students in Middle School Art with get a basic understanding of the Elements of Art and the Principles of Art. Students will also learn about important artists and their influence on the world around us. Furthermore, students will be learning to take a closer look at the world God created and will be representing it through creative means.
Our High School Art program will be a much more extensive study of Art. It too will be discipline-based, including art production, art history, aesthetics, and art criticism. Students will begin the year by developing their own visual understanding of the world God created by completing a drawing unit. Students will be exploring different drawing media, such as pencil, pen, India ink, charcoal, paint, etc. Students will compile their artwork into a sketchbook/journal. In their sketchbook they will not only create artwork, but they will also be writing critically about their artwork.
Students will be completing units in drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture. These units will be intertwined throughout the year. In these units, students will be investigating different techniques and subject matter. We will be doing multiple self-portrait studies, still life studies, photorealism studies, abstract studies and more.
