At the very heart of Trinity Christian Academy is discipleship. Through all things, we strive to create opportunities for our students to be mentored by godly men and women through academics, fine arts, athletics, and everything in between. TCA is also striving to create intentional discipleship opportunities through daily Bible class, weekly chapels, and monthly discipleship groups. Each month in Trinity Tribes (K-12th), students will discuss “Identity In Christ,” “Conflict Resolution,” “The Power of Kindness,” and more, keeping in line with our theme verse for the school year. These discipleship groups involve students learning from one another and from TCA faculty how to live out their faith. TCA is continually striving to find new ways to partner with families and local churches as we work together to equip students with a Biblical worldview and a genuine, personal faith In Christ.
TCA strives to build a community that is others focused, noticing the needs of those God has placed around us while cultivating a family atmosphere. This leads us to value having a safe, vibrant school community where all can belong while maintaining a love for our local community and desire to see it thrive. TCA also has several local mission partners that we partner with throughout the year to provide hands on experiences for our students to encourage this value.
Trinity Christian Academy holds fast to the belief that service is an outward reflection of an inward transformation. As believers, we must strive to be a light in our community and beyond. Whether its collecting canned goods to feed the homeless or participating in a mission trip halfway across the world, students are taught the values of service during their time here at TCA.
At TCA, students are given limitless leadership opportunities, preparing them for a lifetime of godly service. TCA students have gone on to become pastors, teachers, doctors, politicians, mothers, fathers, members of our armed forces, and more. Our hope is that whatever path God hasordained for each student, that they will leave here equipped to lead and genuinely live that out through a Biblical lense.

Becoming Part of the TCA Family

Application Process

To begin the Online Application process, Click here. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account and access your open application.
The mission of Trinity Christian Academy is to partner with Bible-believing families and their churches to provide a Christ-centered education. For this reason, we request a church leader reference for all families seeking admittance to TCA and confirmation of regular church attendance (at least twice per month). You will need to have your pastor, an elder, a deacon, or a small group leader’s email address when completing your application online. Once you submit your application, an electronic reference form will be automatically sent to the email address you provided.
Please be advised a new church leader reference is not required for existing families wishing to enroll an additional child.
All families applying for admission to TCA must take part in a two part interview* that includes:
1. Meeting with the Principal
  All Upper School student applicants and parents are required to meet with the Upper School Principal. Lower School and Early Ed parents are required to meet with their area Principal/Director, however the student applicants are not required to attend. Here we discuss school policy, procedures, and address any questions or concerns you might have.
2. Meeting with one of our Board Members
  An important part of the admissions process is for all TCA families to meet with one of its board members. Student applicants do not take part in this meeting as it is intended for parents. This is the final step in the Admissions process before a contract is issued.
  Please be advised a Board Interview is not typically required for existing families wishing to enroll an additional child.

Additional Requirements

- Admissions Screening: All Little Lions 3 applicants must complete the Brigance screening that is appropriate to their age at the time of the admissions process. Little Lions 2 applicants may be required to complete the Brigance screening if needed.
- Interviews: All of the needed documents and information must be received by the TCA admissions office in order to proceed to the interview portion of the admissions process.
Students must be 4 years old by August 15th in order to be admitted in Pre-K and 5 years old by August 15th in order to be admitted into Kindergarten.
- Admissions Screening: All Pre-K, K, and First Grade applicants must complete the Brigance screening that is appropriate to their age at the time of the admissions process.
- Teacher Reference (For Grade 1 only): Parents must submit in the student's application the email addresses of one former teacher (from the most recent academic year and of a core subject).
- Records (For students who have been in school): Academic records (including discipline records) will be requested upon the submission of the admissions application from the student's previous school(s) by the TCA admissions office.
- Interviews: All of the needed documents and information must be received by the TCA admissions office in order to proceed to the interview portion of the admissions process.
- Admissions Testing: Rising second through Fifth Grade students must complete the IOWA admissions testing that is appropriate to their age at the time of the admissions process.
- Teacher Reference: Parents must submit in the student's application the email addresses of one former teacher (from the most recent academic year and of a core subject).
- Records: Academic records (including discipline records) will be requested upon the submission of the admissions application from the student's previous school(s) by the TCA admissions office.
- Interviews: All of the needed documents and information must be received by the TCA admissions office in order to proceed to the interview portion of the admissions process.
- Admissions Testing: Sixth through Twelfth Grade students must complete the IOWA admissions testing that is appropriate to their age at the time of the admissions process.
- Teacher References: Parents must submit in their student's application the email addresses of two former teachers (one from the most recent academic year and of a core subject).
- Academic Records: Academic records (including discipline records) will be requested upon the submission of the admissions application from the students previous school(s) by the TCA admissions office.
- Interviews: All of the needed documents and information must be received by the TCA admissions office in order to proceed to the interview portion of the admissions process.
At TCA, the Extended Education programs REACH and RISE have additional admissions requirements. These could potentially involve additional observation, student shadow days, and review of previous psychological evaluations, references, IEPs, 504 Plans, and any other pertaining information. Admissions Policies

Waitpool
-Once completing an application at TCA, you will be placed in the waitpool. You will be contacted via text and email by the Admissions Office to notify you of availability to proceed in the admissions process. New student applications for the next school year launch in October of each year. Those in the waitpool will be notified of space to proceed in the admissions process beginning in February. To notify parents in the waitpool, the Admissions Office will text and email. You will then have three business days to respond if you would like to proceed, remain in the waitpool, or be removed from our list.

Incoming Seniors
-Trinity Christian Academy’s policy and practice is not to accept incoming seniors from schools in Jackson/Madison County unless there are extenuating circumstances that are evaluated and determined by the Admissions Committee. In addition to all other admissions requirements, a clear disciplinary history is required in writing from their previous school(s) for the prior twelve months for the student to be eligible for acceptance to TCA.

General
-A family must meet the minimum admissions requirements to be considered for admission to TCA. Admissions acceptance is not guaranteed. Once the admissions process is complete, the admissions office will notify you of acceptance status.
-If a student is denied admission to TCA based on a negative discipline record, to be considered in the future for admission, that student is required to have maintained a clear discipline record for the previous 12 months documented from a school or formal educational setting with other students.
