Discipleship
Discipleship at TCA
God has called Trinity Christian Academy to assist Christian families and their churches in providing a Biblically-directed, academically excellent education that equips students to be Godly leaders and servants in their homes, churches, and communities.
At TCA, we have a strong focus on the development of spiritual life and discipleship, starting at a young age. We don’t want to just teach students about Christ — we want to guide students to be dedicated followers of Christ.
We achieve this through three regular rhythms:
Daily Bible class
Beginning with our littlest lions, our students are exposed to the word of God intentionally each day. As students grow, that progresses into scripture memory, systematic Bible study, into Biblical worldview shaping class options for Upper School.Weekly Chapel
K-12th grade students participate in weekly chapels with their age division (Lower, Middle, and High School). This is a time of corporate worship and Bible teaching including student-led worship and messages from local pastors, TCA faculty and staff, or TCA parents and alumni.Monthly Discipleship Groups - Trinity Tribes
At the beginning of each school year, each student in K-12th grade and all TCA faculty are sorted into a tribe during the school-wide sorting ceremony. Students and faculty remain in their tribe throughout their time at TCA. Within each tribe, students will break up into small groups of their same gender and age to discuss on a deeper level the discipleship focus for the month. Tribes will also support local and international mission partners, provide an opportunity for older TCA students to invest in younger students, and cultivate a family environment for the whole TCA community. Discipleship Plan
Each year, the TCA Student Ministries team selects the passage of Scripture and theme to focus on for that school year. Students memorize this passage of scripture, and the chapel services and discipleship groups center around it.
Partnering with Christian Families and Their Churches
At TCA, our mission is to assist Christian families and their churches in providing a Biblically-directed, academically excellent education that equips students to be Godly leaders and servants in their homes, church, and communities. We do not take this task lightly and actively work to provide resources to and receive them from local Bible believing church leaders. Local worship and ministry leaders are invited to speak during our chapel services as well. We also hope to challenge students in their faith and equip them with a Biblical worldview that will set them up for a life spent honoring Christ.
