Heritage Week Recap
Last week at TCA, while we celebrated the thirty-eighth birthday of our school, events reflecting our mission took place all over campus. From the Heritage Vision Casting Night on Monday to ROAR Day on Friday. Check out some info below about what took place during Heritage Week at TCA!
Heritage Vision Casting
Monday, October 23rd, TCA parents gathered to hear from Chad Wilson, TCA Board President, and Mrs. Judy Brown, Head of School about the future of TCA. We heard about Vision 2026, a three year initiative to expand the campus of TCA as well as the access to a TCA education for more mission aligned families in West Tennessee. By focusing on increasing our financial aid, we hope to build a future TCA that is positioned to meet needs of more lower income families who align with our mission, but have not been able to consider TCA because of finances. We also heard about the flexible campus master plan that includes some work being done to expand TCA’s campus beginning in this month, as well as potential for the future expansion of TCA. Our hope is that the TCA community of supporters will come together to a tune of $3 Million over the next 3 years to begin the process of making our expansion a reality. New roads, a new Early Education Building, an Indoor Multi-Use Facility, and more are ways we hope to expand in future. For more information on Vision 2026, see the flexible campus master plan, or to give, you can visit our website. A one-time gift, or a monthly gift can be set up. TCA’s future endowment was also discussed and the hope that TCA supporters will give in a way that they are giving to the Legacy of TCA for years to come. School Day Events
TCA students from Kindergarten through 12th Grade gathered Monday, October 23rd for Heritage Chapel. We were led in worship by the TCA Worship Club and Pastor Mark Willard from Englewood Baptist Church who leads this group. Lower school students led us in worship for one song, and Mrs. Brown addressed the students and faculty. It was a time of remembering all that God has done and committing to honor Him with our future. Tuesday, October 24th, faculty and staff were honored with a luncheon. This time of fellowship during the school day for educators and administrators was an encouragement for all. Wednesday, students celebrated TCA’s birthday with cupcakes! Thursday morning, the halls of TCA were filled as students were lead in a collective prayer time from little lions through seniors. Friday, was ROAR Day where TCA families supplied items for Thanksgiving meal boxes for the Hope Center. Because of the football game Thursday we extended drop off of items for the Hope Center until early this week. We will announce how many Thanksgiving boxes we as a TCA family provided once we hear the number!
At TCA, our mission is central to all that we do. We cannot wait to see how God continues to use our school until our next Heritage Week!
