TCA Continues Partnership with Casa Aleluya in Guatemala

Trinity Christian Academy was excited to continue its partnership with Casa Aleluya in Guatemala this year. During spring break, a team of students had the incredible opportunity to serve the children of Casa Aleluya and the people of Guatemala. This partnership provided not only an opportunity for hands-on service but also fostered global spiritual awareness and a mindset of serving others in Christ’s name.

Here are some of the highlights from our trip:

  • Playing with the kids during their free time: Our students had a blast connecting with the children at Casa Aleluya, playing games and forming lasting bonds with them.

  • Game Night and Lego Night: The girls on our team hosted a fun-filled game night for the kids, while the boys organized a Lego night, where they helped the kids build creative structures and shared in the joy of playing together.

  • Painting and Cleaning Projects: Our team worked hard to refresh the Casa Aleluya environment by painting several walls and tackling a couple of much-needed cleaning projects.

  • Burger Night: One of the most memorable experiences was serving the kids dinner during our special Burger Night, where we had the chance to sit with them, enjoy a meal, and spend quality time together.

  • Soccer Tournament and Snow Cones: Our students organized a friendly soccer tournament, followed by snow cones for all the kids, bringing excitement and joy to the afternoon.

  • Wednesday Night Church Service: Our very own Kevin Loyd had the honor of preaching at the Wednesday night church service at Casa Aleluya, sharing a message of hope and faith with the children and the community.

We were deeply thankful for all of the donations sent from TCA families and local churches. Because of their generosity, we were able to bring many suitcases full of supplies to Casa Aleluya, including towels, shower liners, clothes, and medical supplies, which were greatly appreciated.

Additionally, eight of our high school students had the opportunity to share their personal testimonies with different groups of children throughout our time there, making a meaningful impact on their lives and showing them the power of God's love.

The trip was a truly transformative experience for everyone involved. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Casa Aleluya and to the opportunities to serve the people of Guatemala in the future!
