Alumni Spotlight - Major Eric Munn, Class of 2004

Alumni Spotlight: Major Eric Munn, US Army, TCA Class of 2004

After graduating from TCA, Eric furthered his education at West Point. He graduated from there in 2008 and was then commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Field Artillery of the US Army. He was promoted to Captain in 2011 and now holds the rank of Major. He has served our country through multiple deployments to Afghanistan where he served as the Brigade Chief of Operations controlling all MEDEVAC aircraft and combat aircraft patrols in southern Afghanistan. He transitioned to Army Acquisitions where he has been the program manager for a $500 million next generation targeting system, a test officer, and contracting officer in Fort Carson, CO. He is now currently deployed to Jordan. He has been married to his wife Michelle for ten years and together they have two young daughters and a new baby boy born while he was deployed.

"Trinity did more than I could imagine preparing me for life after school. The classes offered and great teachers gave me the building blocks necessary to succeed at West Point and the athletic programs and coaches made the physical demands of the Army much easier. I grew up always in church, but Trinity offered an apologetics course that was eye opening in how to defend your faith. I really believe that course and the role models at Trinity made a huge impact on my faith in Christ."

As we look toward Veterans' Day this Friday, what an honor for us to recognize this outstanding alumni and man of God. Major Munn, Michelle, and your family, thank you for your sacrifices for our country. You are an example of Christ through your service and through your heart for the Lord. Join us in praying for this family as he is deployed. For safety, for God's provision for their family, and for all of their needs to be met. We are so proud of you!
